Perkins generator components and unit routine maintenance

The generator is composed of the rotor generating the magnetic field, the stator installed outside the rotor, the voltage regulator, and the front and back end of the equipment cover, and other parts and components. The daily use of the generator should be more maintenance, the amount of water and oil should be checked before starting operation, and whether it is selected in leakage, and the fasteners and corrosion of the parts should be checked regularly. One, the components of the generator

1. The function of the rotor is to generate a magnetic field. The rotor is composed of claw pole, yoke, excitation winding, slip ring and rotor shaft.

2. Stator The stator is installed outside the rotor and fixed together with the front and rear end covers of the generator. When the rotor rotates inside it, the flux changes in the stator windings, and the alternating induced electromotive force is generated in the stator windings.

3. Rectifier The function of the rectifier is to change the three-phase alternating current of the stator winding into direct current. The rectifier consists of a rectifier plate and a rectifier diode.

4. The voltage regulator regulates the output voltage of the alternator.

5. End cover and brush assembly end cover is divided into front end cover and back end cover, to support the rotor, stator, rectifier and brush assembly. The rear end cover is fitted with a brush assembly. The brush assembly is composed of a brush, a brush holder and a brush spring. The purpose of the brush is to channel power into the exciting winding through the slip ring. The two brushes are respectively installed in the holes of the brush holder and maintain contact with the slip ring by means of spring pressure.

Two. Daily maintenance of generator

1. Check whether the gasoline in the tank is sufficient.

2. Check whether the oil circuit switch and the oil pipeline have oil leakage and seepage phenomenon.

3. Check whether the oil level is between the oil scale grid.

4. Observe the oil quality to determine whether it needs to be replaced.

5. Check whether the starting battery voltage is above 12V, and observe whether the battery appearance is damaged.

6. Captain of standby generator, starting battery will lose power due to self-discharge, please use external charger to charge the battery.

7. Check the oil screw, sealing ring and rubber ring. If damaged, please replace it immediately.

8. The engine oil should be changed immediately after 20 hours (or one month) of initial use of the generator. The oil must be changed after every 100 hours (or six months) of use. (Increase the number of times in harsh environment. Use clean oil with viscosity SAE10W30, API grade SG, SH, SJ or higher.)

9. The generator every 50 hours (or three months) to clean the air filter. (Increase the frequency of cleaning in bad environment and replace it if necessary)

10. In the absence of air filter, do not start the engine, because it will produce excessive gas and make the cylinder wear.

11. Check the generator regularly and fill in the records truthfully. It is strictly prohibited to fill in, miss fill in or do not check fill in.

12. The inspection record form shall be filled in from early this month and checked regularly.
